Maintenance Technicians/HVAC
The New England Sports Center, an eight (8) rink ice skating facility in Marlboro, MA, has openings for maintenance technicians to perform general and preventative rink and building maintenance.

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent with Technical School training preferred

Previous experience in the activity areas listed above

Ability to operate hand and power tools in a safe manor

Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds

Fluent in the English language
-
Prior HVAC, Ammonia and Refrigeration experience preferred

Prior experience in rink maintenance is a plus
The individuals would work a five-day, 40-hour week, with one of the days being on the weekend.

Assistant Pro Shop Manager
We are seeking an Assistant Pro Shop Manager to support the daily operations of the Skaters Edge Pro Shop under the guidance of the Pro Shop Manager. The Assistant Pro Shop Manager will oversee tasks including stocking, merchandising, purchasing, and receiving.
Additionally, this role involves building strong customer and supplier relationships and demonstrating product expertise. Key responsibilities include operating point-of-sale software and performing opening and closing procedures.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
- Assist the Pro Shop Manager and General Manager in overseeing all store operations
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, identifying fast-moving products, and ordering supplies as needed
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, sales representatives, and customers
- Provide assistance to customers with skate sharpening and product inquiries
- Receive, tag, and stock merchandise on racks, shelves, and displays
- Ensure store cleanliness, organized displays, and well-maintained equipment
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including setting up and securing the store
- Operate the point-of-sale system, handling cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting with purchases
- Address customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally
- Stay updated on industry trends and new products
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds or more
- Regular standing, walking, bending, typing, and the use of hearing and vision
Working Conditions
- Exposure to noise, cold environments, moving mechanical parts, and frequent customer interaction
Qualifications
- Knowledge of hockey is essential
- Prior retail experience is preferred
- Strong customer service orientation
- Skate sharpening experience is a plus
- Keen attention to detail
- Basic computer and graphic design skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for transporting goods to our graphics company

Sous Chef/Assistant F&B Manager
New England Sports Center (NESC) is hiring a full time Sous Chef/Assistant F&B Manager to work one day prep and 4 days line to include weekends. This position has the potential for advancement.
Hands-on experience for a high-volume environment with a basic menu. Line and banquet experience a plus.
Candidate must exercise cleanliness, self-starter, follow directions, and possess excellent customer service skills.
Must be cognizant of preparing special food allergen orders. State and local food service industry sanitation requirements training preferred (Servesafe and/or TIPS).

Part-time line and banquet cook opportunity working 12-28 hours week, mostly evenings and weekends in an open kitchen. Position has the potential for advancement.
